HR Photography Israël event photographer to enlight Hanukkah holiday...

Hanukkah goes on eight days. This festival is also known as the “Festival of Lights”.
Indeed, we celebrate Hanukkah by lighting a menorah (candelabra) each evening, as well as by saying special prayers and then eating fried foods.
The menorah includes nine flames, one of which is the "shamash"  used to light and illuminate the other eight lights.
We light an additional candle every evening. Thus on the 8th day of Hanukkaheight flames are lited. The eternal message of the lights of the Menorah has  a special meaning in the time as the forces of oppression and darkness are present. Thus the victory of the light is a story for our people in all times.

Moreover, on Hanukkah we recite during the eight days the special "Hallel" prayer. We also add the paragraph  "Hal Hanissim" in our daily prayers and in the "thanksgiving" after meals, praising God. Indeed, we prove God's greatness for having "delivered the strong into the hands of the weak, the many into the hands of the few, the wicked into the hands of the just ..."

Given that  the miracle of Hanukkah  results from oil, there is a custom to eat fried foods in oil. The traditional donuts are made in Jewish homes and are sold in bakeries . It is alsoa custom for children to play with a spinning top which writen the Hebrew letters noun, gimel, hey and shin, acronym for: nes gadol haya sham, “a great miracle took place there”.
